Booking and confirmation


How are rental prices calculated?

Rental prices are calculated in 24-hour periods from the pick-up time. For example, collecting the car at 10:00 and returning it at 10:00 the next day counts as 1 rental day.


Is my booking confirmed immediately?

Reservations are subject to confirmation. After you book, your request remains pending until the rental provider confirms availability. This can take up to 48 hours. Once confirmed, you will receive the booking details by email.


What happens if the selected vehicle is not available?

If the selected vehicle is not available, we will contact you with alternative options and any applicable price difference. If none of the alternatives suits you, you may cancel and receive a full refund of the amount paid online.


Can I modify my booking?

Yes, changes can be made before the rental starts, subject to availability and any price differences. Just email us and we will assist you.


Will I get refunded if I decide to cancel my booking?

Yes. You can cancel up to 24 hours before pick-up and receive a refund of the amount paid online.


If the car rental company cancels my reservation, will you provide me an alternative? What happens to the amount paid?

If a rental provider cancels a confirmed reservation for reasons beyond our control, we cannot guarantee an alternative vehicle. However, we will refund any amount paid through us and do our best to help you find a suitable alternative with one of our trusted partners.


Payment, cards and deposit


When will I have to pay for the rental?

A part of the cost is charged from your card as soon as the reservation is confirmed. The remaining is paid directly to the car rental supplier when you pick-up the car. This payment breakdown can be found on the checkout page and in the confirmation email.


Can I rent a car without a credit card?

Many options on our website do not require a credit card, although some do. You can check this on the checkout page under "Terms and Conditions", and you can also filter search results to show options with no credit card required.


Is a security deposit required when picking up the car?

The security deposit is the amount required at pick-up and refundable at the end of the rental given the car is returned in the same condition. Some options on our website require a security deposit, while others don't. This is clearly indicated at checkout.

Can I use different cards to book online and to pay for the rental at pick-up?

Yes, the card used to book online does not need to be the same card used at pick-up. However, if a security deposit is required, the main driver may need to present a valid card in their own name. The exact requirements are shown at checkout.


Can I book and pay for a vehicle even if I'm not the driver?

Yes, you can make the booking and pay online even if you are not the driver. However, the main driver must meet the rental requirements at pick-up, including presenting their driving licence and, where required, a payment card in their own name for the security deposit.


Vehicle and rental conditions


Will I get the exact make and model that I reserved?

When you book, you are reserving a vehicle category rather than a specific make or model. Cars in the same category may vary by manufacturer but offer similar features. The key specifications are guaranteed, such as the number of seats and doors, transmission type, air conditioning, and whether the vehicle is a 4x4.


Is unlimited mileage included?

Yes. All options on our website include unlimited mileage.


Fuel policy

Most cars are provided with a full tank and should be returned full (FULL-FULL). Some options follow a SAME-SAME policy, meaning the car should be returned with the same fuel level as at pick-up. The exact fuel policy is always shown at checkout. In all cases, you simply refill the fuel you use before returning the car.


Are child seats, baby seats or booster seats available?

Child seats, baby seats and booster seats are available as optional extras. You can find and select these at checkout under "Extras".


Pick-up and drop-off


Can I return the vehicle to a different location than the one it was picked up from, within the same island?

Yes. One-way rental within the same island is possible. There's no extra fee for this. This means you can, for example, pick-up the car at the airport and return it at the ferry terminal.


Can I return the vehicle in a different island?

No. Drop-off in a different island is not available.


My flight is arriving late/departing early. Is service available outside typical business hours?

Yes. Early or late pick-up/drop-off is available outside normal business hours. If an out-of-hours fee applies, it will be clearly shown at checkout.


What documents do I need to pick up the car?

The main driver will need to present a valid driving licence and an ID card or passport. Depending on the rental conditions, a payment card in the driver's name may also be required for the security deposit. The exact requirements can be found at checkout.


What happens if my flight is delayed?

If you provided a valid flight number during booking, the rental provider will monitor delays and adjust the pick-up accordingly. However, if the flight is cancelled or changed last minute, please contact the staff as soon as possible.


Driver requirements


Is there a minimum or maximum driver age?

Driver age requirements vary from option to option. The minimum or maximum allowed age, if applicable, is shown in the rental terms at checkout.


Is there an extra charge for young or senior drivers?

Some rental options apply an extra charge for young or senior drivers. Whenever applicable, this is clearly shown during the booking process or at checkout.


Can I add an additional driver?

Yes. Additional drivers can be added, sometimes for an extra fee. Any applicable charges are shown at checkout under Extras.


Insurance FAQ


How is my rental car insured?

All rental cars include third-party liability insurance, as required by local law. This covers damage or injury caused to third parties.
As for damages to the rental vehicle itself (known as CDW and Super CDW), on our website you'll find different options:
1. No CDW insurance.
2. With CDW insurance, which means your liability in case of damages is reduced to a certain amount (known as the excess or franchise).
3. With Super CDW, which means full coverage in case of damages to rental vehicle, with a small or even 0 excess. These options are highlighted as "Full insurance included". You can also filter for these in the results.


What is my excess or liability amount?

The excess or liability amount depends on the rental option and any insurance package selected. This information is shown in the rental terms at checkout, so you can review it before completing your booking.


Can I hire extra insurance?

Yes. Most rental partners offer optional cover such as CDW or Super CDW to reduce or limit your liability in case of damages to the car. Available options are shown under "Insurance options" at checkout and can be hired when picking up the car.
